Firstly, there is less limitation on the amount of bone to be regenerated. Secondly, enough bone can be obtained from the oral cavity. However, unexpected resorption of veneer grafts can occur, but absorbent barrier membranes can be utilized to prevent resorption. In this report we present three cases of upper anterior multiple teeth implants in combination with veneer graft technique. Absorbent barrier membranes were applied to half of the implants. The transplant bone was evaluated on dental cone beam CT images obtained at the periods of immediate after implant surgery, six months postoperatively, one year after surgery, and four years after surgery. As a result, the width and thickness of the transplanted bone were significantly larger in the cell-blocking membrane (+) than in the cell-blocking membrane (-). This result suggests the effectiveness of the resorbable cell-blocking membrane in suppressing transplanted bone resorption.
