内容記述 | This study explores an integrated approach to dance education, focusing on the combination of choreographed rhythmic dance with creative elements to understand its educational value. Specifically, the study centered on the “Dance Party Learning” extra-curricular activity at C Elementary School. The purpose of the study was to clarify the characteristics of this learning method and demonstrate how it facilitated enjoyment and reduced shyness among students, ultimately leading to an expansion of self-expression. The study identified a learning method for students in grades 1–6 to collaboratively create dance pieces. Additionally, it confirmed a method for integrating creative dance with choreographed rhythmic dance. In other words, the study established that combining mastery of choreographed rhythmic dance with creative elements could function as a creative learning tool, enabling children to actively participate in this type of cross-curricular, cross-grade activity. Furthermore, an investigation was conducted using the originally developed “Dance Self-Expression Scale.” However, the scale did not reveal any significant differences, except for the item “3. Remember the moves and dance stylishly” in the upper grades. This outcome may be attributed to a lack of awareness of what self-expression entails or a need to reassess the validity of the “Dance Self-Expression Scale” as a measure of self-expression. Nonetheless, the shyness were described during the learning of choreographed rhythmic dance when they did not understand something, but were not described during the creation and after viewing. Moreover, the study confirmed that students progressed beyond merely enjoying the rhythm to finding interest in overcoming challenges and striving for higher goals (skills) related to self-actualized creativity. |
