| 内容記述 | 朝日大学歯学部の6 学年における総合歯科医学II 定期試験①は卒業認定に係る試験である。定期試験①に合格した学生は、卒業が確定するとともに新卒者として歯科医師国家試験（国試）を受験する資格を得る。定期試験①に合格し、新卒者として国試を受験した学生について、定期試験①の得点率と国家試験の得点率を比較すると定期試験①の得点率が国試の得点率よりも5 ～ 10 点程度高い傾向を示していた。この原因は定期試験①の精度に問題があり、学生の学力を正確に評価できていないのではないかと考えられた。そこで、朝日大学歯学部のInstitutional Research（IR）の一環として、国試の受験を出願した学生全員が受験する定期試験①の出題問題の精度について、問題ごとの正答率、識別指数、有効選択肢の数などを指標として分析を行ってきた。本研究では、2016 年度から2024 年度までの直近 9 年間に出題された問題の各指標の推移を可視化して分析し、このような取り組みが出題問題の精度の改善・向上に反映しているかについて検討・考察した。 その結果、定期試験①は卒業認定に係る試験として総体的に適切かつ良質な試験を維持できていると評価された。また、問題精度を継続的に分析して、各担当科目へ分析結果をフィードバックすることにより、問題精度の改善・向上のための計画（Plan）→実行（Do）→評価（Check）→改善（Action）からなるPDCAサイクルが機能し、定期試験①が各学生の国家試験の合格可能性を精度高く予測できる試験に発展すると考えられた。 |

| 内容記述 | The Comprehensive Dentistry II Regular Examination ① for sixth-year students at Asahi University School of Dentistry is an examination for graduation certification. Students who pass this examination are officially recognized as graduates and become eligible to take the National Dental Examination as new graduates. The comparison of the scores of Regular Examination ① and the National Dental Examination among students who took both examinations revealed that; the Regular Examination ① scores were approximately 5 - 10 points higher. This discrepancy was considered to stem from the possibility that the quality of the questions in Regular Examination ① might be insufficient to accurately assess the students’ academic abilities. Therefore, the quality of the examination, administered to all students intending to sit for the National Dental Examination, was analyzed as part of Institutional Research at Asahi University School of Dentistry. The analysis employed indicators such as the correct answer rate for each question, discrimination index, and the number of unchosen choices. This study visualized and analyzed these indicators over the past nine academic years, from 2016 to 2024, and investigated the contribution of these analyses in the quality of examination questions. The results indicate that Regular Examination ① in Comprehensive Dentistry II was highly rated for maintaining an overall appropriate and high-quality standard for a graduation certification examination. Additionally, the Plan→Do→ Check→ Act（ PDCA） cycle can function effectively by continuously analyzing question quality and providing feedback to each subject area. These findings suggest that Regular Examination ① can accurately predict each student’s likelihood of passing the National Dental Examination. |
