| 内容記述 | 下顎骨後方位、過大なオーバージェット、上顎歯列の中程度叢生および下顎中切歯の唇側傾斜を伴う骨格性Ⅱ級と診断された 8 歳6 か月の女児に対して、第一期治療として、上下顎歯列の側方拡大、下顎骨の前方成長誘導を行った。第二期治療として、上下顎両側第一小臼歯を抜去し、上下顎歯にプリアジャストエッジワイズ装置、上顎にクワドヘリックス装置、下顎にバイヘリックス装置を装着し、上下顎歯列を側方拡大しながら、矯正歯科治療を行った。その結果、 過大なオーバージェット、上下顎歯列の叢生は改善し、緊密な咬頭嵌合が得られた。保定開始から 2 年3 か月経過後も、後戻りもなく、安定した咬合関係を保っており、患者の充分な満足が得られた。 | |||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | An 8-year-6-month-old girl with skeletal Class II malocclusion characterized by mandibular retrusion, excessive overjet, moderate crowding of the upper dentition, and labial inclination of the lower central incisors underwent phase I treatment consisting of lateral expansion of the upper and lower arches and the modification of mandibular forward growth. In phase II treatment, the upper and lower first premolars were extracted, preadjusted edgewise appliances were placed in the upper and lower dentitions, and quad helix and bi-helix appliances were applied to t he upper and lower dentition, respectively. As a result, the excessive overjet and crowding were improved, and tight interdigitation was achieved. After a retention period of two years and three months, the dentition and occlusion remained stable and the patient was fully satisfied with treatment results. | |||||||||||||
