値 Rats can recognize the components in the binary taste mixtures (Katagawa et al., 2016). We investigated how rats changed their recognition of component in taste mixtures by changing the concentrations of the partner component. The number of licks for mixtures of 10mM HCl (or 30 μM quinine hydrochloride (Q)) + 1 – 30 mM sucrose in the rats subjected to aversive conditioning to 10mM HCl (H) or 30μM Q were increased on the high concentration level of mixed sucrose. The number of licks for mixture of Q + Suc in the rats subjected to aversive conditioning to 30mM Suc were higher than that of CS when the concentrations of Q were on low level. But in the mixture of H + Suc, we could not find this situation. When the rats pre-exposure to 10mM H or 100μM Q were subjected to aversive conditioning to 30mM Suc, the number of licks for the mixture of H + Suc or Q + Suc were higher than those of CS on the some concentration levels of H or Q. The partner component in mixed taste solution may obstruct the recognition of component of binary taste mixture.
