値 | Commensal flora affects the structure and immune status in periodontal tissue. Conventionally reared (SPF) mice exhibited the increase in the number of osteoclasts in alveolar bone and reduction in the alveolar bone height compared with those of germ-free (GF) mice. In contrast, no reports exist about the causal relationship between commensal flora and osteoblasts activity. The aim of this study was to investigate how commensal flora affects osteoblast activity in mice. In mice model, the results indicate that commensal flora could affected mineralization of osteoblasts modulating gene expression of RANKL/OPG ratio and osteocalcin. |
