| 値 | Vitamin C (VC) deficiency causes anorexia, body weight loss, reduction of taste nerve responses, dysbasia, dental caries, dysfunctional dentine formation, gingivitis, and dry mouth. The appetite for VC plays an important role in order to prevent oral diseases.In this study, we measured daily consumption of VC solution and water in VC-dificient rats and body weight control rats to determine whether body weight loss of VC-deficient rats might influence VC intake. Our data suggest that the change in VC intake displayed by VC-deficient rats cannot be accounted for by changes in body weight. | |||||
