| 値 | An 8-year-2-month-old boy with Pierre Robin sequence came to our clinic with a chief complaint of mandibular retrusion. Radiographic and clinical examinations showed retrognathia, cleft palate, skeletal Class II jaw base relationship, high angle, upper and lower severe crowding, lingual inclination of upper and lower incisors, constriction of upper and lower dental arch, and a narrow airway. High-pull headgear and transpalatal arch were used in the first phase of treatment. However, significant changes in the facial profile were not shown, so the patient was considered to require surgical orthodontic treatment. The preoperative orthodontic treatment was performed with extraction of the upper and lower bilateral first premolars. Sagittal split ramus osteotomy was used for mandibular advancement. | |||||
