| 内容記述 | 現在もなおHIV感染者およびAIDS患者は増加しており、歯科医療の場にも治療を求めて来院する人が増加してきている。歯科医師はどのような疾病に罹患している患者であろうと同様に歯科診療を行う義務があるが、偏見や差別を持って診療を行う者も存在する。このような原因の一端に学生時代のエイズ教育のあり方が考えられる。そこで本研究では今後の大学教育や卒後教育策定の資料を得る目的で、将来歯科医師となって臨床の場に出る歯学部学生に対し、1年時と6年時にエイズに関する認識調査を行い、学生のエイズに対する認識がどの様に変化するか、卒業時のエイズに関する意識や知識レベルがどの程度かを調査した。その結果、1年に比べ6年にはエイズに関する一般生活上の項目、歯科に関連する項目とも意識レベルが低下する傾向が認められた。知識レベルは1年時に比べると上昇はするが、それでもなお知識の不十分さが確認された。以上より今後はHIV/AIDSを含めすべての疾病感染者に対して受容的、あるいは倫理的な態度を身に付けるような一連の教育体制が必要と考えられる。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Dentists should provide full dental care for every patient, regardless of his or her symptoms. But there are some dentists who treat with distinction or prejudice. A follow-up study based upon questionnaires was carried in dental students, to identify changes in their AIDS awareness. The investigations were conducted 2 times ; in January of their first grade and in October of their sixth grade. The survey results showed that; (1) Change in their awareness ranking on attitudes and behavior regarding AIDS were seen in 5 of 12 general life items and 1 of 7 dental items. We found that consciousness tended to decrease on all of the above items. (2) Knowledge regarding AIDS had increased by the sixth grade on most items, but there were three items for which less than 50% of respondents gave the correct answer, so we found that their knowledge was insufficient. From the above results, knowledge of sixth grade students had increased to some extent, but it was not connected with improved consciousness regarding AIDS. We emphasize that dental schools must ensure that they present an educational environment that fosters the development of appropriate student attitudes and behaviors. | |||||
