| 内容記述 | 痴呆と口腔状態や生活自立度との関係を調べることを目的として,老人保健施設の入所者を対象に実地調査を行った.調査対象は愛知県一宮市の老人保健施設入所者である.年齢66歳から97歳の男性17名と女性36名の計53名(平均82.9歳)であり,平成12年12月に調査を実施した.調査した老人の痴呆度はIが12名,IIが13名,IIIが21名,IVが6名,Vが1名と重度の者は少なく,痴呆初期の者がほとんどであった.生活自立度と痴呆度の関係は,食事,理解表出,社会交流と痴呆度との間に負の相関が認められた.残存歯数と痴呆度との間には有意な相関関係が認められなかったが,機能歯数との間には負の相関が認められた.痴呆度と口腔状態総点との間には負の相関は認められなかったが,痴呆度と生活自立度総点との間に負の相関が認められた. | |||||

| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship of dementia with the oral condition and the degree of activity in daily life through a field study of the inmates of an elderly health care facility. The subjects were 53 inmates (17 males and 36 females aged 66-97 years; mean aged 82.9 years) of an elderly health care facility in Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture. This investigation was conducted in December 2000. The degree of dementia was I in 12, II in 13, III in 21, IV in 6, and V in 1. Dementia was in an early stage in most of the subjects and was advanced in only a few. Concerning the relationship between the degree of dementia and the degree of activity in daily life, dementia was negatively correlated with meals, understanding and expression, and social contact. Although the degree of dementia showed no significant correlation with the number of remaining teeth, it was negatively correlated with the number of functional teeth. Although the degree of dementia was not negatively correlated with the total score of the oral condition, it was negatively correlated with the total score of the degree of activity in daily life. It was suggested that dementia is associated with the oral condition and the activity of daily life. |
