| 内容記述 | 朝日大学歯学部の教育理念の中に、高度な専門知識と専門技術を習得し、高い倫理観と教養を身に付け地域社会に貢献するとともに国際社会にも通用する歯科医師の育成を目指すとされている。朝日大学歯学部は、建学の精神に基づき、グローバルな思考を身に付けるために学生・教員の海外への派遣および海外からの積極的な受け入れを行ってきた。朝日大学歯学部における学生奨学短期海外研修は1993年に北京大学口腔医学およびカルフォルニア大学ロサンゼルス校歯学部から始まった。その後、現在までにアメリカ4大学、中国2大学、メキシコ、フィンランドおよびイタリア各1大学の計9大学と交流を拡大してきた。朝日大学歯学部における学生奨学短期海外研修の特徴は9大学の派遣大学からも学生を受けいれる双方向の研修事業であることである。また、派遣学生の渡航費や宿泊費の全額を朝日大学が負担しており、全ての派遣は朝日大学の姉妹校である明海大学歯学部からも同数の学生が参加して行われている。今回、朝日大学歯学部の国際交流プログラムを検討するための基礎資料を得るために、学生奨学短期海外研修に派遣した学生の国際交流に関する意識調査と態度変容について調査を実施し、検討した。調査は、2013年から2015年3年間の派遣学生102名に派遣前と派遣後の国際交流に対する関心や印象について行った。派遣されることで語学学習へのモチベーションは変わらなかったが、臨床研修に対するモチベーションは大きく増加し、友人・知人を得ることが成果として多かった。派遣学生の約半数は派遣にあたり外国語の会話や学習を行っており、国際交流への関心を高めることで外国語学習への動機づけを促す効果が期待できると 考えられる。今後は、国際交流プログラムの活性化を図り、国際交流への関心を高めることで臨床研修に対してだけでなく、語学学習への動機づけを促し、さらに継続的な学習環境の整備を行う必要が求められる。 |

| 内容記述 | The educational philosophy of Asahi University’s School of Dentistry is to acquire advanced specialized knowledge and skills, acquire a high sense of ethics and culture, contribute to the local community, and produce dentists who can be accepted in the international community. Based on the founding spirit of Asahi University, the School of Dentistry has sent students and faculty members overseas and actively accepted international students in order to acquire a global mindset. In 1993, Asahi University’s School of Dentistry began a short-term student scholarship program for overseas training at Peking University School of Stomatology in Beijing, China and the University of California, Los Angeles, California. Since then, we have expanded our program to a total of nine universities, including four American, two Chinese, and one university in Mexico, Finland, and Italy. The primary feature of the short-term student scholarship program for overseas training at Asahi University’s School of Dentistry is that it is a reciprocal training program that accepts students from and sends students to the nine universities listed above. In addition, Asahi University bears all the travel and accommodation expenses of the exchange students, and all exchanges include an equal number of students from Meikai University’s School of Dentistry, a sister school of Asahi University. In order to obtain basic data to examine the international exchange program of Asahi University’s School of Dentistry, we conducted a survey on the awareness of international exchange among students who participated in a short-term scholarship program for overseas training, and investigated the changes in their attitudes. The survey was conducted on 102 students from 2013 to 2015 regarding their interest in and impressions of the international exchange before and after their participation. After participating, their motivation for language learning did not change, but their motivation for clinical training increased significantly, and gaining friends and acquaintances was a common interest. About half of the students engaged in conversation and foreign language learning during the exchange; an increased interest in international exchange as a source of motivation for students to learn foreign languages was expected. In the future, revitalization of the international exchange programs will be necessary, as well as raising interest in international exchange, boosting motivation not only for clinical training but also for foreign language learning, and further enhancement of the continuous learning environment. | |||||||||||||||||||||
